Successful results require superior equipment and experienced staff!!!

With the introduction of advanced laser technology, waxing, razor bumps and painful electrolysis are finally a thing of the past.  Today, laser hair removal is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the U.S.  Lasers are useful for removing unwanted hair from the face, leg, arm, underarm, bikini line, and other areas.

Balle Bliss uses a state of the art, FDA approved laser technology. This allows us to safely treat most skin types while delivering high quality laser hair removal results. That means no more waxing, no more shaving, no more plucking!

What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal is the process of removing unwanted hair from virtually any part of your body. Unlike waxing, shaving, or electrolysis, you get permanent reduction with each treatment. Six to eight treatments are generally needed for optimal results.  During the procedure, FDA-cleared lasers target the hair follicle, disrupting the hair growth cycle.  The laser is beamed on the skin, and is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles. The heat from laser travels via the pigment in to the root of the follicle, and destroys the root of the hair.

Benefits of Laser Hair Removal

  • Precision - Lasers can selectively target dark, coarse hairs while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged (when performed by an experienced technician).
  • Speed - Each pulse of the laser takes a fraction of a second and can treat many hairs at the same time.
  • Save Time & Money – the below chart shows significant lifetime savings of BOTH time and money!!

How long will the results last?

Over 90% of patients have permanent hair loss after an average of 6-8 sessions.  On average, expect to need six treatments in order to get the results you want. All of your hairs grow on a slightly different cycle, so multiple treatments over time ensure that the maximum number of hairs is treated during the active stage of the growing cycle.

How to prepare for Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is more than just simply ''zapping'' unwanted hair. It is a medical procedure that requires training and carries potential risks. Before receiving laser hair removal, you should thoroughly check the credentials of the technician performing the procedure, and the type of laser device employed.

We will provide you with complete pre and post care instructions. In general here are some important things for you to do (or not do) prior to your laser hair removal treatments:

  • Shave the treatment area 12-24 hours before your treatment
  • Do not wax, pluck, tweeze, and use bleaches or hair removal creams during your treatment series.
  • Avoid sun exposure, self tanners and tanning beds 1-3 weeks before and after treatment.  Sun exposure makes laser hair removal less effective and makes complications more likely.
  • Use sun block with SPF 30 on areas to be treated that are exposed to the sun.
  • Limit plucking, waxing, and electrolysis for six weeks before beginning your treatment series. That's because the laser targets the hairs' roots, which are temporarily removed by waxing or plucking.

What to expect during Laser Hair Removal

The procedure is safe and effective. You may feel slight discomfort during the procedure, but this can be minimized by using a topical anesthetic prior to treatment, as well as relying on your medically trained clinician, who is a laser hair removal specialist, to guide you through the process.

  1. The laser equipment will be adjusted according to the color, thickness, and location of your hair being treated as well as your skin color.

When the procedure is completed, you may be given ice packs, anti-inflammatory creams or lotions, or cold water to ease any discomfort. Make sure you schedule your next treatment four to six weeks later.

What to expect after Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a gradual process. You should expect the hair to begin growing slower, the hair to become thinner and finer, become patchy, until it is overall reduced.

The hair will not be gone after one treatment. The majority of patients need at least 6-8 treatments as well as touch-up treatments periodically thereafter.

For a day or two after your treatment, the treated area of your skin may look and feel like it's sunburned. Cool compresses and moisturizers may help. If your face was treated, you can wear makeup the same day.

Over the next month, your treated hair will happily fall out.

During the shedding process (which takes place 2 - 4 weeks post treatment) the dead hair begins to push itself out of the body; you may notice irritation around the hair follicles and/or itching of the skin in treated areas.  Many clients confuse this period with hair growth. It is common for a client to not notice the shedding process.  Once the shedding process is complete the next growth cycle fills in and the area is ready for another treatment.

We understand that keeping up with your treatments can be time-consuming and we want you to achieve optimal results, so we do all the work for you. We help keep you on track with your specific hair growth cycles and remind you of your upcoming appointments as well as track your progress.

With laser hair removal treatments you can expect significant permanent hair reduction to the point that temporary hair removal methods are seldom, if ever, are necessary. However, due to hormonal changes, hair color and skin tone, some clients may need a few additional treatments in order to achieve their personal level of desired results.
